and quite nerve-wracking it was. I think it’s worse being interviewed by someone you know, and you will have to meet again, than a stranger you may never see again.
They started by taking the portfolio away to look at – at which point I thought ‘Wish I hadn’t included the mammoth History of British Embroidery, don’t want to bore them to death’ – but as nice things were said about it , good job I did. Positive comments were also made about my work showing links between the traditional and the conceptual. I managed to resist the temptation to say - ‘Does it?’.
My Banksy inspired sketchbook seemed to go down well – so thanks to Mr & Mrs C for taking us!
I should hear in a week – so fingers crossed. I’m off now to relax in the bath before we go out again for some much needed R&R.
Normal service will be resumed tomorrow – with any luck.
